FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS /
LASIK Pricing & Payment Methods
Q1. Why are the cost of services offered at your centre higher than some other centres ?
Answer:
The only way to ensure high standards of safety and effectiveness of surgery is through:
- Utilization of cutting edge technology that is able to provide safer, more accurate, and more predictable outcomes.
- Getting exceptional surgeons.
- A no-compromise pre-treatment eye examination (which is why our eye examinations take 2 to 3 times longer, or require more measurements than other clinics).
- A strong aftercare system for the patient (nationwide coverage, 24 hours a day).
- A LIFE TIME WARRANTY programme to ensure that our patients can rest assured that they will be well taken care of even after treatment and upon discharge (we have looked after our patients for the past 29 years, and we are confident that we will still be around looking after them for many, many years to come)
None of the above comes cheap, and we don’t pretend that we are. Cutting prices involves cutting corners, and we don’t believe in such compromises. Your safety, and vision, is simply too precious.
Instead, we find ways to make our prices affordable by providing 0% interest free, easy payment methods – ranging from 12 months, 24 months to 36 months.
Q2. Are easy payment methods or installment plans available?
Answer:
Yes, installment plans and easy payment methods are available –ranging from 12 to 24 months, all at 0% interest*.
Q3. Why aren’t any lower priced laser eye treatments available at OPTIMAX?
Answer:
Well, we used to have them when we first started out many, many years ago. (We’ve been around for 29 years now). But over the years as technology evolved, we improved our processes and replaced our older technologies with newer ones that provide higher predictability and accuracy for safer and better surgery outcomes.
It is generally understood that procedures that provide better and safer outcomes cost a little more.
For example:
- The Femto-LASIK (bladeless LASIK) is much safer and more precise than the Blade-LASIK (a much older technology) Therefore, you can expect the Femto-LASIK to cost abit more than the much older Blade-LASIK method.
- The Relex SMILE treatment (which is both a flapless and bladeless method), will also cost abit more than other treatments as this new method provides better comfort after treatment while maintaining the benefits of the other methods.
