Management of Eye Diseases & other Ocular Conditions

Conjunctivitis

Conjunctivitis, commonly known as red eye, is the result of an inflamed conjunctiva (white-colored part of the eye).

Symptoms:

  • Red eye
  • Itchy & foreign-body sensation
  • Discharging of pus
  • Watery discharge

Conjunctivitis may be due to many causes, such as bacterial, viral, allergic, contact lens wear or in rare cases, through sexually-transmitted disease (STD). Therefore, it is important to diagnose the cause of the red eye prior to treatment.
